Tripura, July 7:<\/strong> In a major boost to rail connectivity in Tripura, two express trains have officially started making scheduled halts at Mungiakami Railway Station, fulfilling a long-standing demand of residents from Mungiakami and nearby areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The introduction of the new stoppages has been welcomed with enthusiasm by local people, who have been seeking express train connectivity at the station for several years. Residents believe the decision will significantly improve transportation and accessibility for the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A special programme was organised to mark the occasion in the presence of Tripura’s Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma<\/strong>, MDC Utpal Debbarma<\/strong>, officials from the Railway Department, and several other dignitaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the event, the guests highlighted that the new train halts will greatly benefit students, government employees, farmers, traders, patients, and daily commuters by making travel faster, more convenient, and affordable. They also noted that improved rail connectivity is expected to strengthen access to education, healthcare, business opportunities, tourism, and overall economic development in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The speakers expressed gratitude to the Railway authorities for approving and implementing the long-awaited demand.
