Agartala: Jul 02. Member of Parliament Kriti Devi Debbarman has announced that the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, has sanctioned a series of PMGSY road projects across the Tripura East Parliamentary Constituency, involving a total investment of more than Rs 114.90 crore.
According to the MP, the projects were proposed after identifying developmental gaps in rural and remote areas, and approvals were granted at the parliamentary level before being sanctioned by the Union Ministry. The projects are expected to improve road connectivity in more than 40 habitations across the constituency.
In a social media post, Kriti Devi Debbarman wrote that the new roads will enhance access to education, healthcare, and markets, create new economic opportunities, and improve the quality of life for people living in rural and tribal areas.
She further stated that she is working closely with the Ministry of Rural Development to ensure that every genuine proposal for rural road connectivity in Tripura East receives due consideration and that infrastructure development continues at a faster pace.
