According to preliminary information, a heated altercation broke out between two brothers Mayur Chandra Sinha and Neeldhwaj Sinha over a property-related dispute that had reportedly been ongoing for several years.<br><br>As the argument escalated, both men allegedly attacked each other with sharp weapons. By the time local residents and police arrived at the scene, both brothers were found dead.<br><br>A local resident who was among the first to receive information about the incident said that around 7 p.m., one of the victim&#8217;s sons rushed to him and informed him that his father had been attacked with a knife. The resident immediately advised the family to arrange medical assistance and later received a call from the police regarding the incident. Upon reaching the spot along with police personnel, he witnessed the grim scene.<br><br>The deceased have been identified as Mayur Chandra Sinha, who worked as a mason and was also known for his artistic skills, and Neeldhwaj Sinha, a former Indian Army personnel who had taken voluntary retirement and returned home on pension.<br><br>Locals revealed that tensions between the brothers had existed for years due to disputes over land and property. Family members and neighbours said that several quarrels had taken place in the past, and legal cases related to the dispute were reportedly still pending.<br><br>According to residents, Neeldhwaj Sinha had reportedly been away from home for several days before returning on Friday night, when the fatal confrontation allegedly took place.<br><br>During the investigation, police recovered a knife and an axe from the scene. Authorities suspect these weapons may have been used during the violent clash. Forensic examinations and further inquiries are underway to establish the exact sequence of events and determine the precise cause of death.<br><br>A team from Kailashahar Police Station reached the spot soon after receiving information and launched an investigation.
