The recovery has sparked serious questions among local residents regarding how such a huge quantity of contraband managed to reach the border area despite the presence of the Chinnibagan Police Naka Point.<br><br>According to police, the seizure was made following a secret tip-off received at around 4:00 PM. Acting on the information, a police team conducted a search operation in the Chandramukhi area, located near the BSF border zone. During the operation, officers discovered 25 sacks of cigarettes hidden in an abandoned location.<br><br>Speaking to reporters, Sub-Inspector Jondongla Halam said that each sack contained approximately 10,000 cigarette sticks, bringing the total seizure to around 2.5 lakh sticks. The estimated market value of the seized cigarettes is nearly \u20b910 lakh.<br><br>Police have not yet identified the owner of the contraband.
