Agartala, June 2: A significant meeting regarding various demands and grievances of the Tripura Guerrilla Returnees Demands Committee (TGRDC) was held today at the State Secretariat under the chairmanship of Tribal Welfare Minister Bikash Debbarma.
During the meeting, TGRDC representatives presented their long-pending issues, demands, and proposals in detail before the government. Officials from the Tribal Welfare Department, Home Department, Police Administration, and other concerned departments were also present.
The discussions were conducted in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, with both sides engaging in meaningful dialogue. Government representatives carefully reviewed the issues raised by TGRDC and responded positively to their concerns.
The government assured the committee that necessary steps would be taken to address the matters through the appropriate administrative processes and that efforts would be made to expedite their resolution.
Officials reiterated that the government believes in resolving issues through dialogue, cooperation, and mutual understanding. They emphasized that the concerns raised by TGRDC would be coordinated with the relevant departments to ensure timely and practical solutions.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed optimism that the issues raised could be resolved through continued cooperation and a positive approach.
