The duo reportedly crossed several checkpoints by claiming to be media personnel before being intercepted at the Kamalpur Durga Chowmuhani checkpoint.<br><br>During a search operation, police recovered approximately 21.5 kilograms of ganja concealed inside the vehicle. Initial investigation revealed that the detained individuals were not genuine journalists. One of the seized press cards bore the name Deepak Kumar and carried the name of a publication, which police are now verifying.<br><br>Following the seizure, Kamalpur SDPO-level officials, Officer-in-Charge Suman Acharya, Investigating Officer SI Debabrata Dutta, and other police personnel reached the spot. The accused were taken into custody, and the vehicle along with the contraband was seized.<br><br>Speaking to reporters, SI Debabrata Dutta said police had received specific intelligence that a vehicle carrying ganja was heading from the Mohanpur side. Acting on the tip-off, a joint team comprising Kamalpur Police, traffic personnel, and naka staff launched a targeted operation at Durga Chowmuhani.<br><br>\u201cBased on the information we had, we detained the suspected vehicle and found three occupants, all from Bihar. We have already recovered more than 15 kilograms of ganja, and the search operation was still underway at the time. One of the occupants initially identified himself as a media person and showed a press card. We will verify the authenticity of that card during the investigation,\u201d Dutta said.<br><br>The arrests come amid a series of successful anti-narcotics operations conducted by Kamalpur Police.
