Frustrated by repeated delays and the lack of a permanent solution, villagers, including a large number of women, decided to block the road to draw the attention of the authorities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The blockade began at around 10 a.m. and disrupted traffic for nearly two hours. Police from Ambassa Police Station rushed to the spot and held discussions with the protesters. The demonstrators initially refused to withdraw the blockade, insisting that officials from the Power Department visit the site and address their concerns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Later, officials from the Electricity Department arrived and assured the villagers that a transformer would be installed and power supply restored at the earliest. They also informed residents that several households would need to complete the necessary consumer ID registration process on Monday before new electricity connections could be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Speaking to the media, a local resident alleged that villagers were asked to deposit \u20b92,500 per household for registration before receiving electricity services. The resident said repeated visits to the department had yielded no concrete results, prompting the community to organize the protest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Following assurances from the department, the protesters lifted the blockade and traffic movement returned to normal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">However, villagers warned that if the issue remains unresolved after Monday\u2019s meeting with officials, they will launch a larger agitation in the coming days.
