Due to the severity of their injuries, doctors later referred them to the district hospital for advanced treatment.<br><br>According to local sources, the dispute between Krishna Banik and neighbouring resident Nitai Das\u2019 family had been continuing for several years over a land boundary issue. Residents alleged that during his tenure as BJP Shakti Kendra convener, Krishna Banik had repeatedly attempted to occupy the disputed land by allegedly damaging boundary fencing and using political influence.<br><br>Tension reportedly escalated last night after celebrations erupted across the state following the announcement of the BJP state president\u2019s name. Taking advantage of the situation, the accused allegedly attempted to remove the disputed boundary fence. When Sumitra Das and her husband protested, they were allegedly attacked with wooden sticks, causing severe head injuries.<br><br>Following the incident, ruling party workers and local BJP leaders, including current Shakti Kendra convener Shyam Lal Saha, rushed to the hospital.
