On Sunday, fresh unrest broke out in the Makumchhara area of North Tripura district.<br><br>Local residents staged a road blockade on the main road connecting Kanchanpur, Laljuri, and Dharmanagar, demanding immediate resolution of long-pending issues related to damaged roads, shortage of safe drinking water, and irregular electricity supply.<br><br>The protesters alleged that despite repeatedly informing the administration and public representatives, no permanent solution has been provided. They claimed that road conditions become extremely dangerous during the monsoon season, causing severe hardship for commuters and local residents alike.<br><br>Villagers also expressed frustration over the persistent drinking water crisis and frequent power disruptions, saying daily life has become increasingly difficult.<br><br>During the protest, demonstrators also voiced strong resentment against Tripura minister Santana Chakma.
