The police have registered a case and detained a 16-year-old juvenile in connection with the matter.<br><br>According to the police, a written complaint was filed by the victim&#8217;s family on Sunday. Based on the complaint, Teliamura P.S. has registered Case No. 24\/2026 under Section 65(2) of the BNS and Section 4 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.<br><br>&#8220;The victim is six years old. The accused is a juvenile (16 years). We have detained him and are following due procedure under the Juvenile Justice Act. The victim has been sent for medical examination. Investigation is ongoing,&#8221; a women&#8217;s police official told the media.<br><br>The victim&#8217;s father alleged that the accused lured the child by promising to show her flowers, taking advantage of her absence from home. &#8220;My daughter loves flowers. The boy from the neighborhood took her to his house. When we returned home in the evening, she complained of pain. She told us what happened. We want justice,&#8221; the father said, fighting back tears.<br><br>Local residents expressed outrage after learning of the incident. The accused was initially caught by villagers, who then handed him over to the police.<br><br>The police have confirmed that the victim and the accused live in neighboring houses. Officials stated that the juvenile is currently in detention, and a thorough investigation is underway.
