Despite repeated appeals from residents, no repair work has been initiated by the concerned authorities, triggering fears of a major accident at any moment.<\/em><br><br>The bridge serves as the only means of communication between the two localities. However, its wooden planks are reportedly broken, iron cables have rusted badly, and the railings have become unstable. School students, patients, and daily commuters are forced to use the bridge despite the severe risks involved. The condition worsens further during the monsoon season.<br><br><em>Expressing frustration, local resident Mangal Mog said the administration and public representatives have remained indifferent even after several complaints. Residents questioned whether the authorities and Jolaibari Block administration would wake up only after a major tragedy occurs.<\/em><br><br><em>Another resident, Chathoi Marma of Moudu Mog Para, alleged that promises are made during elections, but the plight of villagers and the deteriorating condition of the bridge are forgotten soon after voting ends.<\/em><br><br><em>The villagers have now demanded immediate renovation of the hanging bridge to make it safe for public movement.
