{"id":21299,"date":"2026-05-09T18:59:27","date_gmt":"2026-05-09T18:59:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=21299"},"modified":"2026-05-10T03:49:05","modified_gmt":"2026-05-10T03:49:05","slug":"missing-case-takes-new-turn-amtali-police-trace-sushanta-debs-kolkata-trip","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/05\/09\/missing-case-takes-new-turn-amtali-police-trace-sushanta-debs-kolkata-trip\/","title":{"rendered":"Missing Case Takes New Turn: Amtali Police Trace Sushanta Deb\u2019s Kolkata Trip"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Tripura, 09 May<\/strong>:\u00a0 The alleged missing case of <strong>Sushanta Deb<\/strong> from the Amtali police station area took a dramatic turn after police revealed that the man had travelled alone to Kolkata by flight and returned to Agartala the same evening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, family members of <strong>Sushanta Deb<\/strong> had approached the office of the Superintendent of Police, alleging police inaction and expressing suspicion that he might have been kidnapped. However, according to Amtali Police, investigation and CCTV analysis uncovered a different story.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking to reporters, investigating officer Paritosh Das said the matter began on May 4 following a clash at a hotel owned by <strong>Sushanta Deb<\/strong>, involving Niloy Singha and a few others. Police registered a prosecution report and later also took up a separate complaint alleging assault and vandalism at Deb\u2019s hotel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The officer said that on the previous night, Niloy Singha\u2019s wife lodged a complaint at Amtali Police Station claiming her husband was missing and might have been kidnapped. Based on the complaint, police registered a missing diary and launched an investigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the probe, police collected SDR, CDR and LBS data linked to the mobile numbers involved and analysed Smart City CCTV footage across Agartala.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to police findings, <strong>Sushanta Deb<\/strong> left Hapania at around 4:46 AM on his scooter and travelled through ONGC, Bank Chowmuhani, Siddhi Ashram, Battala, College Chowmuhani and Court Chowmuhani before reaching Maharaja Bir Bikram Airport at approximately 5:41 AM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police later confirmed with airport authorities that Deb boarded an IndiGo flight (6E-7419) to Kolkata at around 8:30 AM. Further investigation revealed that he returned to Agartala the same day at 6:10 PM on IndiGo flight 6E-485.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police identified the scooter used during the journey as registration number TR01AB-4794.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Paritosh Das stated that when questioned, Sushanta Deb initially denied travelling to Kolkata. However, after police disclosed the flight details, he admitted to making the trip but reportedly refused to reveal the purpose of his visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When asked whether Deb had travelled to Kolkata for a major event held there on the same day, the police officer said the possibility could not be ruled out, but Deb had not disclosed anything officially and the investigation was still underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police also rejected allegations of negligence made on social media by the family, asserting that legal procedures and investigation began immediately after receiving information about the matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAt no point was there any lapse from our side. Had police not investigated, we would not have been able to trace his travel movement and return,\u201d the officer said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police further clarified that there was no evidence of kidnapping.
