The Congress party has initiated a renewed organisational push in Tripura, with senior leader Vijayalakshmi Sadho calling for a complete rebuild of the party from the grassroots level. Addressing a press conference at the Pradesh Congress headquarters in Agartala on Sunday, Sadho, who is serving as AICC Observer for Sadar District, stressed the need to strengthen the party \u201cfrom booth to block to district\u201d with fresh leadership and deeper public engagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Placing her remarks at the centre of the interaction, she highlighted that the \u2018Sangathan Srijan Abhiyan\u2019 is not merely an internal organisational exercise but a broader mission to reconnect with citizens and safeguard constitutional values. According to her, the campaign aims to raise awareness about issues concerning democratic rights and governance while reinforcing the party\u2019s presence across all levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sadho stated that the initiative, launched nationwide under the guidance of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, seeks to revitalise grassroots structures. The focus will be on appointing dedicated District Congress Committee presidents, expanding the base of active workers, and enhancing organisational efficiency. She added that membership drives, training programmes, and phased outreach activities are being implemented to increase the party\u2019s visibility and relevance in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Emphasising the ideological foundation of the Congress, Sadho remarked that the party is not just a political entity but a movement shaped by the sacrifices of the freedom struggle. She urged party workers to reconnect with people by promoting these core values and addressing local concerns effectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The press conference was attended by several senior leaders, including Ashok Debbarma, Kartik Debnath, Nigamananda Goswami, and Tanmoy Roy, reflecting a collective push towards organisational revival.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, observers from Delhi, K. Tilottama and Tarun Tyagi, have been deployed in key districts such as Dharmanagar and Belonia to monitor the campaign\u2019s progress and submit reports to the AICC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
