The prime accused, Chinta Haran Nama, later surrendered to authorities.<br><br>The operation, involving around 235 personnel, began at approximately 4 PM and continued until 1 AM. Officials broke open doors and searched the premises thoroughly, eventually recovering the cash from a concealed underground chamber and the ganja from another room.<br><br>According to officials, most members of the household fled as the forces arrived. Only a daughter-in-law and a child were present at the time. The woman initially refused to hand over the keys and locked herself inside, but later complied under pressure, allowing the team to access multiple rooms.<br><br>Authorities stated that the seized contraband allegedly belongs to Prasenjit Nom, the son of the house owner. A case has been registered against him by the NCB, which has since been handed over to Madhupur police for further investigation.<br><br>Senior NCB and BSF officials were present during the operation and later supervised the counting and documentation of the seized cash at Madhupur police station on Saturday morning.<br><br>Sources also indicated that over 1 kg of gold was recovered during the raid; however, it was returned after valid documents were produced.<br><br>The incident has sparked widespread discussion in the area, with residents shocked over the scale of the alleged illegal activities.
