{"id":20446,"date":"2026-04-10T14:06:54","date_gmt":"2026-04-10T14:06:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=20446"},"modified":"2026-04-10T14:10:43","modified_gmt":"2026-04-10T14:10:43","slug":"bangladeshi-youth-arrested-for-illegal-border-crossing-sent-to-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/04\/10\/bangladeshi-youth-arrested-for-illegal-border-crossing-sent-to-court\/","title":{"rendered":"Bangladeshi youth arrested for illegal border crossing, sent to Court"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Dharmanagar, Apr<\/strong> <strong>10:<\/strong> A Bangladeshi youth was arrested for allegedly entering India illegally through the Tripura border and was produced before a district court on Friday after completion of legal formalities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to police sources, the arrest took place in the Kadamtala Police Station area under North Tripura district during a joint patrol by local police and personnel of the BSF\u2019s 97 Battalion (\u2018C\u2019 Company) on Thursday. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The youth was spotted entering Indian territory under suspicious circumstances near Sonaichhari Nayantila in the <em><strong>Satsangam Gram Panchayat<\/strong><\/em> area and was immediately detained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During initial interrogation, the accused was identified as Russell Ahmed (22), son of late Yasin Ali, a resident of Goalbari under Juri Police Station in Moulvibazar district of Bangladesh. A preliminary investigation revealed that he had crossed the international border illegally into Tripura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The BSF later handed him over to Kadamtala Police Station, where a case was registered under Section 3 of the Passport (Entry into India) Act, 1920. The case has been numbered 19\/26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Police produced the accused before the district court on Friday and stated that further investigation is underway to determine whether any larger network or accomplices are involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities also confirmed that surveillance along the border has been intensified to prevent such illegal crossings.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Dharmanagar, Apr 10: A Bangladeshi youth was arrested for allegedly entering India illegally through the Tripura border and was produced before a district court on Friday after completion of legal formalities.
