Tipra Motha founder asks people to avoid clashes, document illegal activities, and let the election pass peacefully<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Agartala, April 6: <\/strong>With campaigning intensifying ahead of the TTAADC General Election, Tipra Motha founder and royal scion Pradyot Manikya Debbarma on Sunday appealed to people to refrain from violence and maintain peace during the final phase of the poll campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a Facebook Live address, Pradyot said reports of clashes and tension from a few areas were disturbing and warned that such incidents ultimately bring disrepute to the larger Tiprasa community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said while political rivalry may exist during elections, violence between people of the same community only causes long-term social damage and weakens collective unity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIf we fight among ourselves, the loss is not just political. It affects the image of our entire society,\u201d he said, urging supporters and political workers not to engage in physical confrontations, abuse, or intimidation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Referring to allegations of money distribution and poll-related inducements, Pradyot appealed to people not to take the law into their own hands. Instead, he asked them to record such incidents on their mobile phones, gather evidence, and report the matter to the police and authorities concerned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also urged women, mothers, and elders to play a role in discouraging violence within families and local communities, saying elections come and go, but divisions created during such periods can last much longer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pradyot further expressed confidence in the role of the police, stating that law enforcement must act in accordance with the Constitution and discharge its duties impartially during the election period.
With only a few days left for polling, he appealed to voters to exercise restraint and cast their votes peacefully on April 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
