He framed the contest as a direct fight with <strong>Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha<\/strong>, accusing the ruling party of neglecting indigenous rights while prioritizing votes and development rhetoric. He warned against attempts to sway voters through money and inducements, stressing that such practices would keep communities underdeveloped.<br><br>Debbarma promised additional support for Bru communities if Reang is elected and pledged assistance \u201ceven if he doesn\u2019t win,\u201d citing poor living conditions. Immediate relief measures, including daily water supply through TTAADC tankers, were also promised. Highlighting basic service gaps, he pointed to poor road conditions, irregular drinking water supply despite the Har Ghar Jal initiative, and insufficient funding for education.<br><br>He called for unity among indigenous groups, criticizing BJP\u2019s alleged <strong>\u201cdivide Thansa\u201d policy<\/strong>, and emphasized solidarity among Bru, Chakma, Tripuri, and Jamatia communities. Referring to past incidents, including the murder of Anjel Chakma, he raised concerns over identity-based discrimination.<br><br>In a separate programme at Damcherra under <strong><em>1-Damcherra-Jampui constituency<\/em><\/strong>, Debbarma reiterated his concern over the unfulfilled Tiprasa Accord, emphasizing that TMP would not compromise on indigenous rights. He also highlighted the political power of the Tiprasa community, saying that while BJP is the bigger party, TMP represents the <strong>\u201cbigger jaati,\u201d<\/strong> and the April 12 polls would show the strength of poor Tiprasa voters.<br><br>Debbarma also targeted Minister Bikash Debbarma, who switched from CPI-M to BJP, criticizing his claim that votes cast for Tipra Motha would ultimately benefit the BJP.
