He alleged that governance within the TTAADC has long been overshadowed by “muscle power politics and emotional manipulation,” and asserted that voters are now seeking a more accountable and development-oriented leadership.

Highlighting the BJP’s campaign strategy, the chief minister emphasized the need to bridge the gap between welfare schemes and their beneficiaries. He pointed out that several central and state government initiatives aimed at tribal upliftment remain underutilized due to lack of awareness and outreach in remote areas. According to him, the BJP is committed to ensuring that these schemes reach every eligible household, thereby improving livelihoods and infrastructure across the council areas.

Dr Saha also claimed that the BJP is witnessing growing support on the ground, citing the defection of leaders from Tipra Motha as a sign of changing political dynamics. He described this trend as indicative of increasing public confidence in the BJP’s governance model and its commitment to inclusive growth.

Raising concerns over alleged corruption within the council, the chief minister promised that transparency and accountability would be key pillars of the BJP’s campaign. He contrasted his party’s vision with what he described as prolonged stagnation under previous administrations led by CPI(M) and Tipra Motha, while crediting Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s focus on tribal welfare as a guiding influence.

Addressing recent incidents of violence, including an attack on a minister’s vehicle, Dr Saha attributed such developments to frustration among political opponents. He assured that law enforcement agencies are fully prepared to maintain order and take strict action against any attempts to disrupt peace.

Reiterating the BJP’s broader vision, the chief minister said the party’s goal extends beyond electoral success to achieving long-term transformation in the TTAADC region, with a focus on peace, development, and inclusive growth.

As the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) elections draw near, the political atmosphere in the state is becoming increasingly charged, with Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha placing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at the forefront of a campaign centred on development and stability.
