The case was considered high-risk due to her uncontrolled hypertension, which can significantly increase complications under general anaesthesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To minimise these risks, the medical team opted for a regional anaesthesia approach instead of full sedation. The procedure involved a dual-layer nerve block performed under ultrasound (USG) guidance, enabling precise delivery of anaesthesia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to <strong><em>anaesthesiologist Dr. Moutushi Choudhury<\/em><\/strong>, the patient remained completely awake and experienced no pain during the surgery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Surgeon Dr. Amar Tripura<\/strong> stated that the technique combined an interscalene block, targeting the brachial plexus to numb the shoulder and arm, with a superficial cervical plexus block to ensure full coverage around the collarbone area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doctors said the use of real-time ultrasound imaging allowed accurate identification of nerves, reducing the risk of complications.
