Tripura, March 17, 2026:<\/strong> The Outpatient Department (OPD) facility at Kherangbar Hospital in Khumulwng was formally inaugurated on 16 March and dedicated to the people by royal scion Pradyot Bikram Manikya DebBarma, Chairman of AARC, TTAADC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing the gathering, Pradyot DebBarma<\/strong> termed the initiative a significant step forward for Tripura\u2019s healthcare infrastructure. He acknowledged the financial contribution made by former Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb<\/strong>, stating that \u20b930 crore was sanctioned for the hospital project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He noted that although there were delays after the former Chief Minister\u2019s tenure, the project was ultimately completed due to the initial commitment. Emphasizing the need to rise above political differences, Pradyot expressed heartfelt gratitude to Biplab Deb for supporting the hospital\u2019s development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cPolitics may divide us party-wise, but good work must always be recognized. I sincerely thank former Chief Minister Biplab Deb for allocating funds for this hospital,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pradyot also highlighted that the new OPD facility would help reduce the burden on Agartala\u2019s GB Hospital, which often faces overcrowding. He added that additional facilities at Kherangbar Hospital are expected to become operational within the next few months.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recalling past contributions, he mentioned the support extended during the COVID-19 pandemic, including oxygen facilities, and appreciated the role of current Chief Secretary J.K. Sinha, who served as Health Secretary at the time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The TIPRA Motha leader stressed that developmental achievements should be acknowledged irrespective of political affiliations. Citing examples, he referred to the establishment of ADC under Indira Gandhi and the Bru Accord facilitated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, stating that positive contributions must be accepted and appreciated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focusing on the future, Pradyot underlined the importance of education and expressed his vision to bring transformative changes in the ADC areas. He said that with additional support from the Government of India, efforts would be made to create better educational opportunities, enabling youth to secure jobs or start their own businesses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also mentioned recent initiatives such as the launch of Tata Strive\u2019s hotel management training program and emphasized ongoing efforts to boost infrastructure development in the region. Plans for further improvements, including sports facilities and overall regional development, were also highlighted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pradyot concluded by stating that the hospital is not only for ADC residents but for all people of Tripura, encouraging both Indigenous communities and Bengalis to avail healthcare services, emphasizing that \u201ca doctor treats everyone equally.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inauguration ceremony was held in the presence of Chief Executive Member (CEM) Purna Chandra Jamatia, Executive Members Rabindra Debbarma, Runiel Debbarma, Bhabaranjan Debbarma, Suhel Debbarma, Kamal Kalai, MDC Ganesh Debbarma, and other dignitaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
