The victim, a minor, was reportedly targeted in a secluded area of Kalikrishna Para, sparking widespread local concern over the safety of women and children.<br><br>On March 7, 2026, a delegation led by <strong>Jharna Deb Sarkar<\/strong> and <strong>Ratna Choudhury<\/strong> met with the SDPO to hand over a memorandum, expressing &#8220;grave concern&#8221; over the rising tide of crimes against women in the state.
