{"id":18714,"date":"2026-03-02T09:11:05","date_gmt":"2026-03-02T09:11:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=18714"},"modified":"2026-03-02T09:11:05","modified_gmt":"2026-03-02T09:11:05","slug":"tet-2-qualified-candidates-meet-trb-chairman-over-recruitment-concerns-in-tripura","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2026\/03\/02\/tet-2-qualified-candidates-meet-trb-chairman-over-recruitment-concerns-in-tripura\/","title":{"rendered":"TET-2 Qualified Candidates Meet TRB Chairman Over Recruitment Concerns in Tripura"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Agartala, March 2, 2026:<\/strong> A group of TET-2 qualified candidates in Tripura on Monday met the Chairman of the Teachers\u2019 Recruitment Board (TRB), Paritosh Ranjan Deb, at Shiksha Bhavan, raising concerns over delays in recruitment and limited vacancies announced by the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">According to the candidates, out of approximately 4,500 examinees who appeared in the 2024 TET-2 examination, a total of 1,488 candidates qualified. However, they alleged that despite qualifying, they have not yet been recruited or called for reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">A candidate representative stated that all TET-2 qualified candidates have united to demand fair recruitment. Referring to a recent TRB notification issued on February 21, 2026, the candidates highlighted that only 1,020 vacant posts have been announced for recruitment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">They further claimed that after applying reservation criteria, only around 750 candidates out of the 1,488 qualified candidates are likely to get jobs, leaving nearly 738 candidates deprived of employment opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">The candidates questioned why, despite RTI information indicating more than 4,000 vacant teaching posts in the state, all qualified candidates are not being recruited together. They urged the Education Minister and Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha to increase the number of vacancies and issue a revised recruitment notification to accommodate all eligible candidates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cWe would not have come here if a large number of candidates had not been affected. We are only asking for fair opportunities for all qualified candidates,\u201d a candidate said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">Responding to their concerns, TRB Chairman Paritosh Ranjan Deb clarified that the board operates strictly based on requisitions received from the government and the concerned department.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThe TRB cannot advertise more posts than what the government requisitions. If the government had provided 5,000 posts, we would have advertised accordingly. We have issued notification for 1,020 posts as per the requisition received,\u201d Deb said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">He added that recruitment and vacancy decisions are entirely under the jurisdiction of the government and the department, not the TRB.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">\u201cThe candidates are approaching the wrong authority. If there is any increase in vacancies, it must come from the government.
