The presence of the cub was confirmed during intensive monitoring carried out by field staff and veterinary teams.

According to officials, all four cubs are healthy and are being closely observed to ensure their well-being. The successful birth highlights the steady progress of conservation efforts under Project Cheetah, which aims to restore the species in India after decades of extinction.

Union Minister Bhupender Yadav stated that the development reflects the continued commitment to scientific management and conservation. He termed it a positive step in India’s cheetah reintroduction journey.

With the addition of the new cub, the total number of cheetahs in India has risen to 39, including 28 cubs born in the country.
