Tripura, Feb 25: <\/strong>Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation, Murlidhar Mohol<\/strong>, on Tuesday said that the northeastern states are steadily progressing through the implementation of various flagship projects and development initiatives of the Central Government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Addressing a review meeting held at the conference hall of the Khowai District Magistrate\u2019s office, the Minister assessed the progress of district-level flagship programmes and other ongoing development schemes. He chaired the meeting and took detailed stock of the implementation status of key projects across different departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mohol directed officials to ensure that all pending works are completed within stipulated timelines and emphasized the importance of efficient execution to maximize benefits for the public. Expressing satisfaction over the impact of various central and state government schemes, he noted that beneficiaries are increasingly receiving the intended advantages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He reiterated the government\u2019s commitment to ensuring that the benefits of welfare schemes reach the last mile, especially the most marginalized sections of society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlighting the Centre\u2019s focus on the region, the Minister said that the establishment of the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER) was a result of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee\u2019s visionary leadership to bring the Northeast into the mainstream of development. He also informed that Rs 1 lakh crore has been allocated for the northeastern states in the Union Budget this year, which is accelerating growth in previously underdeveloped regions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the meeting, Khowai District Magistrate Rajat Panth presented a detailed overview of ongoing government projects, including visual data on their implementation progress. Among others present were District Forest Officer Ashok Kumar, Additional District Magistrate Abhedananda Baidya, and officials from various departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the meeting, the Union Minister visited several cooperative institutions and interacted with local residents to understand ground-level development. He later visited Tulashikhar block, where he met \u201cLakhpati Didis\u201d associated with the Tripura Rural Livelihood Mission (TRLM) and listened to their success stories. Members of self-help groups also showcased their products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Minister further inspected a plastic waste management unit, a SHG-run canteen, a palm oil plantation site, Khowai\u2019s Bagan Ayushman Arogya Mandir, and the construction of a new building for the Chief Medical Officer\u2019s office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
