Eligible candidates are invited to apply for the posts of Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM), and Dak Sevak across various postal circles in the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The online application process will be conducted through the official India Post GDS portal at indiapost.gov.in\/gdsonlineengagement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Dates: India Post GDS Recruitment 2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Candidates applying for the January 2026 engagement should take note of the following schedule:<br \/>\u2022 Online Registration: January 31, 2026 to February 14, 2026 (till 5:00 PM)<br \/>\u2022 Application Submission &amp; Fee Payment: February 2, 2026 to February 16, 2026<br \/>\u2022 Edit\/Correction Window: February 18, 2026 to February 19, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vacancy Details and Salary Structure<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The recruitment covers three major categories. Selected candidates will receive Time Related Continuity Allowance (TRCA) as per the following slabs:<br \/>\u2022 Branch Postmaster (BPM): \u20b912,000 to \u20b929,380 per month<br \/>\u2022 ABPM \/ Dak Sevak: \u20b910,000 to \u20b924,470 per month<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Eligibility Criteria<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Educational Qualification:<br \/>Applicants must have passed the Secondary School Examination (Class 10) with passing marks in Mathematics and English from a recognized board.<br \/>\u2022 Candidates must have studied the local language of the concerned postal circle up to Class 10.<br \/>\u2022 Special provisions regarding local language requirements apply for candidates from Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, and Sikkim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Age Limit:<br \/>\u2022 Minimum age: 18 years<br \/>\u2022 Maximum age: 40 years<br \/>\u2022 Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:<br \/>\u2022 SC\/ST: 5 years<br \/>\u2022 OBC: 3 years<br \/>\u2022 PwBD: 10 to 15 years<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other Requirements:<br \/>Applicants should possess basic computer knowledge, knowledge of cycling, and adequate means of livelihood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Selection Process<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There will be no written examination for GDS recruitment. Selection will be based on a system-generated merit list prepared from the marks obtained in the Class 10 examination, calculated up to four decimal places.<br \/>\u2022 For candidates with grades or points, marks will be calculated using a multiplication factor of 9.5.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Application Fee<\/strong><br>\u2022 Application Fee: \u20b9100<br>\u2022 Fee Exemption: Female candidates, SC\/ST candidates, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and Transwomen are exempted from paying the fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Apply for India Post GDS Recruitment 2026<\/strong><br>\u2022 Visit the official website: indiapost.gov.in\/gdsonlineengagement<br>\u2022 Complete One-Time Registration (OTR) using a valid mobile number and email ID<br>\u2022 Log in using the registration number and fill in the application form<br>\u2022 Select division preferences and upload a recent photograph and signature<br>\u2022 Pay the application fee (if applicable) and submit the form before February 16, 2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Important Note: Candidates can apply for multiple posts within a single selected division only.
