He highlighted the importance of unity among all Indigenous communities of Tripura, including Ranglong, Darlong, Koloi, Halam, Reang, Jamatia, Debbarma and others.

Pradyot strongly cautioned against the loss of Indigenous land, referring to concerns raised from areas like Bagbassa and Naugaon, where attempts are allegedly being made to acquire community land. He asserted that while money, gold, and jobs may come and go, land once lost can never be regained. Urging people to remain vigilant, he appealed to elders and community leaders to protect their land and rights for future generations.

Calling for pride in Indigenous identity, culture, language, religion, and traditions, Pradyot criticized the tendency to bow before power or money and urged people to keep power in their own hands through unity. He said true happiness and prosperity would come only when the Indigenous people stand united and support one another.

Emphasizing that his struggle is not merely political, Bubagra said it is about securing the future of Indigenous children. He envisioned a future where Indigenous youth aspire to become leaders and decision-makers, not remain confined to lower positions. He assured the people that he would stand with them against any attempt to take away their land or dilute their cultural identity, provided the people stand united with him.

As a mark of respect, Pradyot presented a traditional symbolic gift to representatives of the Ranglong community, stating that although there are no kings in a democracy, traditions of respect and mutual bonds must continue for generations.

Concluding his address, Pradyot reaffirmed his commitment to stand with the Ranglong community and all Indigenous people of Tripura, stating, “You are me, and I am you,” and called upon everyone to remain united for the protection of their land, culture, and the future of their children.

Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma attended the 9th Ranglong Khohui cultural festival at Seisimdung, Panisagar, North Tripura, along with MP Smt.
