Agartala, January 17: <\/strong>The Chubachu Foundation<\/strong>, through public crowdfunding and donations, extended financial assistance to a family injured in a tragic gas cylinder blast incident at Chokidhar Para<\/strong>, Gandha Twisa, which occurred on January 10<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founder of Chubachu Foundation Kamal Jamatia<\/strong>, along with NGO members Amit Debbarma<\/strong> and Sunil Jamatia<\/strong>, visited GBP Hospital, Agartala<\/strong>, where the victims are currently undergoing treatment. On behalf of the foundation, a sum of \u20b915,000<\/strong> was handed over to the affected family as Phase-1 relief assistance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tragic incident took place late at night while the family was preparing food using a newly purchased gas cylinder<\/strong>. According to family members, the cylinder suddenly exploded, causing a massive fire that completely destroyed their bamboo house<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five family members sustained burn injuries: Kashiram Tripura<\/strong> (father), Kolo Rani Tripura<\/strong> (mother), Mojesh Tripura<\/strong> (6-year-old son), Toksho Rani Tripura<\/strong> (elder daughter), Her 7-year-old daughter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

All five suffered burn injuries of varying degrees and have been admitted to GBP Hospital for over a week. Kashiram Tripura remains in critical condition<\/strong>, having suffered severe burns to his face and hands. He also reportedly had poor eyesight prior to the incident, which worsened his condition during the fire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Local residents rushed to the spot after hearing screams and noticing smoke. They cut through the bamboo walls<\/strong> of the burning house and managed to rescue the trapped family members. Without their timely intervention, all family members could have lost their lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a heroic act, Kolo Rani Tripura<\/strong>, despite suffering burns, managed to save her six-month-old infant<\/strong>, Bindhabin Tripura<\/strong>, by wrapping the baby in cloth and handing the child to rescuers. The infant miraculously escaped without any injuries<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the incident gained attention on social media, over 300 donors<\/strong> came forward to contribute through crowdfunding initiated by the Chubachu Foundation<\/strong>. The foundation stated that this initial donation marks Phase 1<\/strong>, and additional financial assistance will be provided under Phase 2<\/strong> once more funds are collected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
