Agartala, Dec 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday cited Tripura as a key example of fast-paced development under BJP rule while addressing a public rally at Ranaghat in West Bengal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Modi contrasted governance in Tripura after 2018 with the situation in West Bengal, sharply criticising the CPI(M) and the Trinamool Congress. He said Tripura had suffered for nearly three decades under communist rule before the BJP came to power.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the Prime Minister, the BJP government in Tripura accelerated development, improved governance systems, and focused on infrastructure and inclusive growth. He alleged that West Bengal, despite expectations of change after the Left era, continued facing administrative decline due to the TMC adopting what he called the \u201cbad practices\u201d of the Left and inducting former Left leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Modi argued that Tripura\u2019s development trajectory demonstrates the success of the \u201cdouble-engine\u201d model of Centre\u2013state coordination.
