Agartala: Dec 17. The 169 Battalion, Border Security Force (BSF) successfully organised a Civic Action Programme (CAP) along with a free medical camp at Adam Base, Jalaya. The programme was conducted under the able leadership of Shri Ajay Kumar, Commandant, 169 Battalion BSF, in the esteemed presence of Deepak Ahlawat, Second-in-Command (2IC), Vivek Tiwari, Deputy Commandant, and Dr. Vatsal Dinesh Bhai Mirza, Deputy Commandant & Chief Medical Officer (DC\/CMO) of the 169 Battalion BSF.
The programme was also attended by the SDM, Karbook, and SDPO of Karbook, Gamanjoy Reang.
The primary objective of the programme was to improve the living standards of residents in border areas and to further strengthen mutual trust, cooperation, and harmony between the security forces and the local populace.
During the programme, the BSF distributed a wide range of educational, sports, cultural, agricultural, and office-related materials to local schools, students, farmers, and community institutions. The items distributed included:

Extension Boards – 03 nos; Computer Tables-03 nos; Computer Chairs-03 nos
Study Chairs-10 nos; Office Table- 01 no;
Office Chair-01 no; School Bags-168 bags;
Pencils-150 nos; Roller Ball Pens-150 nos;
Sharpeners- 150 nos; Exercise Notebooks- 150 nos; Footballs \u2013 10 nos; Volleyballs \u2013 20 nos; Volleyball Nets (Nylon) \u2013 10 nos; Carrom Boards \u2013 05 nos; White Board \u2013 01 no.
These materials were distributed to support children\u2019s education, sports development, cultural activities, office infrastructure, and farmers\u2019 agricultural needs.
Simultaneously, a free medical camp was organised, during which health check-ups were conducted for border area residents and medicines were distributed free of cost as required. The medical camp received valuable support from Dr. Shanti Lata Debbarma and Dr. Sougat Shah of the Sub-Divisional Hospital, Karbook, whose expertise ensured quality healthcare services for the local population.
