Tripura, 11 Dec 2025:<\/strong> Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu on Wednesday visited several areas along the India\u2013Bangladesh border in Sabroom subdivision of South Tripura district. He inspected the Integrated Check Post (ICP) at Sutarmura under Poangbari block and reviewed the ongoing activities there.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Governor also interacted with farmers engaged in betel nut, paddy, livestock, duck and poultry farming and later visited the Srinagar Boro Haat (big market) premises. From there, he proceeded to inspect the Srinagar Border Outpost (BOP). During the visit, the Governor was briefed on the operational readiness of the border security forces. Officers informed him about the law-and-order situation and security conditions in the border region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, the Governor visited the Tilagaon area under West Tilabazar and inspected various development works being carried out there. He also interacted with local residents and listened to their grievances. The Governor noted that government project benefits have now reached even the remotest border villages, improving social and economic conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He said that border residents are gradually receiving better facilities similar to urban populations, and further development in cottage industries, animal husbandry, and agriculture could boost the region\u2019s economic growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During his visit, the Governor was accompanied by South Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadipati Deepak Datta, Poangbari Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Manimalai Deb, South Tripura District Magistrate Sajjad P., South Tripura Superintendent of Police Krishnendu Chakraborty, Block Development Officer Jayanta Bhattacharjee, 112 Battalion BSF Commandant Sunil Kumar Mishra, and other government officials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
