Tripura, 10 Dec 2025: <\/strong>To review the implementation of various central and state government schemes in the border villages of the state, the Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu, visited several villages in Gomati district yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the first phase of the visit, the Governor toured areas under Karbook subdivision. During the visit, he interacted with local villagers on issues related to Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Ayushman Card and other welfare schemes. He advised officials of the Agriculture and Farmers\u2019 Welfare Department to set up a cold storage facility in the area. He also urged officials of the Education Department to ensure increased student enrollment in Eklavya Model Residential Schools and Navodaya Vidyalayas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the occasion, the Governor and his spouse distributed PRTC certificates, marriage certificates, domicile certificates, PDS ration cards and high-yielding seeds among local residents. They also handed over a cheque of \u20b97 lakh to the Karbook Farmers\u2019 Cooperative Society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later, the Governor held discussions with the BSF jawans deployed in the Silachhari area on various border-related issues. He was accompanied by BSF Tripura Frontier Inspector General Alok Kumar Chakravarty and Battalion Commandant Ajay Kumar. The Governor also visited Mahabodhi English Medium School at Shilachhari and interacted with local residents, discussing various government welfare facilities available to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the programme, cheques of \u20b93 lakh and \u20b92 lakh were handed over to the Tripura and Lotus Cooperative Societies respectively. In addition, cheques worth \u20b92 lakh each were given to three local villagers for house construction assistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Those present during the visit included Advisor Sanyog Manik Tripura, Governor\u2019s Secretary Uttam Kumar Chakma, Karbook Sub-Divisional Magistrate along with senior officials of various departments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Subsequently, the Governor visited Eklavya Model Residential School at Rupichhari under Indrasena Reddy Nallu\u2019s programme, where he interacted with students, teachers and staff on various academic and administrative issues. He also visited a tea processing centre at Sabroom subdivision in South Tripura district and held discussions with tea workers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During this visit, he was accompanied by South Tripura Zilla Parishad Sabhadhipati Deepak Dutta, Governor\u2019s Secretary U.K. Chakma, District Magistrate Mohammad Sajad P. and other officials.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
