Organised by the Department of Horticulture, the festival carries the theme\u00a0<em>\u201cRooted in Culture, a Journey of Heritage.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event drew significant attention with&nbsp;<strong>MLA A. Pongshi Phom<\/strong>&nbsp;gracing the opening ceremony. In his address, he highlighted Pongo\u2019s long-standing reputation for producing exceptional Taro and underlined the crop\u2019s growing relevance in both cultural identity and rural livelihood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The MLA noted that festivals like this can open new opportunities for farmers and communities by creating better market visibility and encouraging innovation in agriculture.
