Agartala, Nov 30: IPFT on Sunday firmly rejected Tipra Motha founder Pradyot Kishore Debbarman\u2019s call for a merger with the proposed pan-regional platform, saying the party has no intention of dissolving its identity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the Central Executive Committee meeting, IPFT General Secretary Swapan Debbarma said the party would join a nationwide protest in New Delhi before December 20, pressing for separate statehood under the banner of the National Federation of New States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Debbarma added that Tipraland would remain IPFT\u2019s core ideological demand, along with seeking implementation of the high-level committee\u2019s recommendations on upgrading the TTAADC and urging Parliament to pass the 125th Constitutional Amendment Bill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Party president Prem Kumar Reang said they had \u201creservations\u201d about the recent Agartala public meeting led by Pradyot Kishore, arguing that it projected Tipra Motha symbols despite claims of a new regional initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
