Despite repeated appeals for drainage construction and road repairs, the MLA allegedly turned a deaf ear to their concerns. Frustrated, the residents approached the District Magistrate, who later inspected the area and ordered the construction of a new drainage system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">The work was supposed to begin under the supervision of an engineer. However, when the engineer arrived for inspection, a group of miscreants led by Deputy Chief Jaharlal Nandi reportedly obstructed him. This incident further enraged the local residents.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">They allege that the project was deliberately handed over to a \u201ccommission business,\u201d which they refuse to accept.
