Agartala, Nov 23: Stepping up regional political coordination ahead of the 2025 calendar, Tipra Motha Party founder Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma on Saturday announced that a number of influential leaders from across the North East are expected to participate in the party\u2019s upcoming rally in Agartala on November 27.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Interacting with the media after landing at MBB Airport, Debbarma said that the event, slated for Swami Vivekananda Maidan, is being positioned as a major convergence point for regional voices advocating stronger inter-state cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to him, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma is among the key figures who have confirmed their presence, along with Nagaland leader Mmhonlumo Kikon, Assam political figure Daniel Langthasa, and several other representatives from various Northeastern states.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Debbarma emphasised that the proposed \u201cOne North East\u201d initiative \u2014 an idea he has been publicly championing for some time \u2014 has now reached an advanced stage of discussion among participating leaders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He argued that a unified regional stand could help address long-pending developmental and political concerns more effectively. \u201cThe problems faced by the people of the North East are interconnected. But when every state speaks separately, the message gets diluted. A common platform strengthens our voice and makes Delhi take notice,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
