Agartala: Nov 15. Allegations of political violence surfaced across North Tripura District after the Bihar election results, with the CPI-M accusing BJP supporters of vandalising several of its local offices. Party leaders claimed that miscreants celebrating the Bihar victory targeted the Kalacherra area office, breaking furniture and allegedly stealing 17 chairs.

According to CPI-M leaders, the attack took place around 5 p.m. on Friday, when a group carrying out a victory procession entered the Kalacherra market and ransacked the regional party office. The party further alleged that similar incidents took place in Kameswar and Bagbassa while counting was still underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n



A protest gathering was held last night, chaired by retired college teacher and farmers\u2019 leader Ajay Deb. CPI-M state committee member Amitava Dutta, Dharmanagar divisional secretary Ratan Roy, and Kalacherra secretary Joynal Uddin addressed the meeting.

In their statements, the leaders said they have always stood with working people and will continue to do so. They accused the BJP of turning the election process from voter list preparation to counting into a \u201ccomplete farce,\u201d and condemned the alleged looting of valuable items from the office.

Local residents reportedly joined the CPI-M supporters in a massive protest march, expressing anger over the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
