Agartala: Nov 06. Reacting to the recent political development, BJP leader and Assam Cabinet Power Minister Prasanta Phukan said it is too early to comment the outcome of the newly announced \u2018One North East\u2019 platform, which aims to unite political voices across the region.
Phukan said while speaking to media in Assam that while Meghalaya and Tripura are related and have proximity, however, leaders from Arunachal Pradesh and several other northeastern states have not yet come to the forefront. \u201cThis is a very early initiative nothing concrete has happened yet. We will see how they move forward, what are their messages, how they will link people, whether it will create bond,\u201d the minister said.
He added that both the positive and negative sides of the initiative will become clearer in time. \u201cOnly the future will show whether this effort will really be for the betterment of the northeastern people and how their method of carrying forward will work,\u201d he remarked.
On November 4, leaders including Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma, former Nagaland minister Mmhonlumo Kikon, TIPRA Motha founder Chief and Royal Scion Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma, and Ex-Congress MAC and People\u2019s Party founder of Assam, Daniel Langthasa announced the launch of \u2018One North East\u2019 in New Delhi.
