Tripura, 14 Oct 2025:<\/strong> A new chapter in cultural tourism unfolded today as the first-ever theme-based musical water fountain in the TTAADC area was inaugurated at Eco-Park, Khumulwng by Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya DebBarma, Chairman of AARC, TTAADC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony witnessed the presence of CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia, Minister Brishaketu Debbarma, several Executive Members, MLAs, and MDCs, along with CEO Raval Hamendra Kumar, IAS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project, described as the largest musical fountain show in the Northeast, aims to blend entertainment with cultural storytelling, highlighting the history, art, and identity of the indigenous people of Tripura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking to the media, Bubagra Pradyot Manikya expressed satisfaction with the trial run and shared his broader vision for Khumulwng as a world-class tourism and cultural hub.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis is not just a fountain \u2014 it\u2019s a reflection of our heritage. We will include Kokborok and English in the show to make it more inclusive. Tripura has a rich history that deserves to be seen and celebrated,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Bubagra emphasized the importance of promoting Tripura\u2019s soft power \u2014 its culture, cuisine, music, and traditions \u2014 beyond politics. Drawing parallels with the Hornbill Festival of Nagaland and Cherry Blossom Festival of Meghalaya, he underscored the need for a similar annual cultural festival in Tripura to attract national and international visitors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also revealed plans to organize night football matches, concerts by local musicians, and anti-drug awareness programs to engage and motivate the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cCulture and sports can unite people more than politics. Let\u2019s promote our art, music, and food \u2014 this is how we truly develop our land,\u201d he remarked.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The \u20b911-crore project \u2014 funded through State and Central government support and local contributions \u2014 symbolizes the growing push for tourism-led development in the ADC area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Concluding his address, Bubagra called for unity and positivity:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTripura will move forward when we prioritize development over division. Let\u2019s reject drugs, focus on education and tourism, and love one another. Only then will our children inherit a brighter future.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
