TBSE President Dr. Dhananjoy Gon Chowdhury and Secretary Dr. Dulal Dey jointly briefed the media on the details of the changes and the upcoming examination schedule.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">According to the new notification, the Madhyamik (Class 10) examination fee has been increased from \u20b9120 to \u20b9300, while the Higher Secondary (Class 12) examination fee will now be \u20b9400, up from \u20b9150. Despite the increase, Tripura\u2019s examination fees remain the lowest among all North Eastern states,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">When asked whether students might face difficulties, Dr. Chowdhury said, \u201cThose from economically weaker backgrounds may feel some impact, but overall the hike is minimal compared to other states. The board\u2019s expenditure has increased manifold, leaving us with no alternative.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">He further confirmed that the 2026 Madhyamik and Higher Secondary Examinations are expected to commence in the last week of February, similar to last year\u2019s schedule (starting February 24). The form fill-up process will begin from January 6, 2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">TBSE Secretary Dr. Dulal Dey urged students not to be alarmed by the new structure, stating, \u201cEven after revision, our board conducts exams at the lowest fees in the entire Northeast. Only six items have been revised; all other fees remain unchanged.
