Tripura, 21 Sep 2025: <\/strong>Agartala witnessed a spirited gathering of youth today as the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) organised the\u00a0\u201cNamo Yuva Run\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0under the slogan\u00a0\u201cLeave addiction, let\u2019s go to the playground\u201d<\/em>\u00a0to promote fitness and build a drug-free India.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The run, which was simultaneously held in over 100 locations across the country with the participation of more than 10 lakh youths, started in front of the iconic Ujjayanta Palace<\/strong> in Agartala and concluded at the Gandhi statue near Circuit House<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The programme is part of the fortnight-long Seva Pakhwada<\/em> (Service Fortnight) being observed from September 17 to October 2<\/strong>, to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha<\/strong>, BJP State President and Rajya Sabha MP Rajib Bhattacharjee<\/strong>, BJYM State President Sushanta Dev<\/strong>, senior leaders, MLAs, and hundreds of enthusiastic youths joined the run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha<\/strong> said:
\u201cThe main purpose of today\u2019s Namo Yuva Run is to spread awareness against addiction and to build a drug-free Tripura. Our Prime Minister has always emphasized the role of youth in shaping India\u2019s future. With 65% of India\u2019s population below 35 years, if this energy is used positively, no one can stop our nation\u2019s progress. Tripura has taken strict steps against drugs, but true success will come only when society and our young brothers and sisters actively join this movement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BJP State President Rajib Bhattacharjee<\/strong> highlighted:
\u201cFrom September 17 to October 2, various programmes like tree plantation, blood donation, and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan are being organised as a tribute to Prime Minister Modi. Today\u2019s Namo Yuva Run is part of that series, to inspire our youth towards a drug-free India and Tripura.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

BJYM State President Sushanta Dev<\/strong> added:
\u201cBJYM is not just about politics, we also have social responsibilities. This marathon is to motivate the youth to leave addiction and choose sports, to build a healthy and strong Tripura in line with the vision of our beloved Chief Minister.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The run saw overwhelming participation from young men and women across institutions, sports schools, and different corners of the state.
