Tripura, 15 Sep 2025:<\/strong> Tripura royal scion\u00a0Pradyot Kishore Manikya Debbarma<\/strong>\u00a0today attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of the\u00a0Maharaja Kirit Bikram Auditorium<\/strong>\u00a0at\u00a0Garia Academy Model School, Atharabla, Gomati District<\/strong>. The event was marked by the presence of\u00a0TTAADC Chief Executive Member (CEM) Purna Chandra Jamatia<\/strong>, \u00a0Jamatia Hoda Okras<\/strong>, and other dignitaries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Taking to social media, Pradyot wrote: \u201cGlad to have attended the foundation stone laying for the Maharaja Kirit Bikram auditorium at Garia Academy, Gomati District. I thank the TTAADC for the initiative and the members of the Jamatia Hoda for giving me so much love and respect.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In his address, Pradyot expressed deep emotional ties with the Jamatia community, recalling the 2006 program attended by his father, late Maharaja Kirit Bikram Kishore Manikya<\/strong>, which he said was one of the last public events before his father\u2019s demise. \u201cThe respect and love shown by the Jamatia Hoda to my father stays in my heart. Today, even though my father is no more, from above he must be happy to see this auditorium built in his name,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He urged the gathering to focus on preserving and teaching Tripura\u2019s indigenous history and identity<\/strong> to the younger generation. \u201cOur children know about Washington, Sundarbans, and Gujarat, but they are not taught about Tripura\u2019s own history, our rulers, and our cultural legacy. If we are taught others\u2019 history, they too should learn about Maharaja Amar Manikya, Maharani Sulochana, and our heritage,\u201d he remarked, drawing loud applause from the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pradyot further emphasized that the relationship between the royal family and the people was not political but rooted in blood and shared heritage. He called upon the Jamatia community and all Tiprasa people to remain united in safeguarding their identity and rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Highlighting the role of Garia Academy, he envisioned the institution producing future IAS, IPS officers, judges, and even a Chief Minister from the Tiprasa community. \u201cOur aim is not only to salute but to be saluted. Education is the key to our empowerment, and this academy will play a vital role,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
