{"id":13633,"date":"2025-09-05T17:01:47","date_gmt":"2025-09-05T17:01:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=13633"},"modified":"2025-09-05T17:01:49","modified_gmt":"2025-09-05T17:01:49","slug":"tripura-govt-confers-state-awards-to-39-teachers-emphasizes-education-reforms","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2025\/09\/05\/tripura-govt-confers-state-awards-to-39-teachers-emphasizes-education-reforms\/","title":{"rendered":"Tripura Govt Confers State Awards to 39 Teachers, Emphasizes Education Reforms"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Agartala, September 5, 2025<\/strong>: Teachers are the guiding force, advisors, and true architects of students\u2019 lives, standing next only to parents in shaping their future, said Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha while inaugurating the\u00a0<strong>64th State-Level Teachers\u2019 Day Celebration<\/strong>\u00a0at Rabindra Centenary Hall today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Chief Minister paid rich tributes to former President of India, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, describing him as a great philosopher and globally respected teacher who always took pride in identifying himself as a teacher first. \u201cStudying his life gives us a true perspective of how noble the teaching profession is,\u201d the CM remarked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He emphasized that teaching requires commitment, mental strength, and passion for nurturing future generations who will steer the state and nation forward. Dr. Saha urged teachers to build a friendly and emotionally engaging environment for students, encouraging them toward righteous values, discipline, and resilience. \u201cBeyond textbook knowledge, teachers who instill life values are the real nation-builders,\u201d he noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>On the occasion, the&nbsp;<strong>School Education Department<\/strong>&nbsp;conferred this year\u2019s prestigious awards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar Award<\/strong>\u00a0to eminent educationist\u00a0<strong>Dr. Atul Debbarma<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maharani Tulsibati Award<\/strong>\u00a0to\u00a0<strong>Pranati Debbarma<\/strong>, Headmistress of DC Para Hemanta Smriti School<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Award<\/strong>\u00a0to renowned teacher and academician\u00a0<strong>Samir Chakraborty<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Additionally,&nbsp;<strong>36 teachers across Tripura<\/strong>&nbsp;received the&nbsp;<strong>\u2018Shikshak Sammanana 2025\u2019<\/strong>&nbsp;in recognition of their contributions. The Chief Minister personally handed over the awards to all recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr. Saha also highlighted the government\u2019s efforts to strengthen education infrastructure in the state. He mentioned the establishment of several universities, the upcoming women\u2019s university, and enhanced opportunities in medical, dental, nursing, and engineering education within Tripura. Infrastructure upgrades include new buildings for&nbsp;<strong>TIT and the National Law University<\/strong>, development of&nbsp;<strong>387 schools<\/strong>, with another&nbsp;<strong>292 in the pipeline<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Further achievements outlined by the CM include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>140 scooters distributed<\/strong>\u00a0under Kanya Atmanirbhar Yojana<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>1,22,509 bicycles distributed<\/strong>\u00a0to Class IX girl students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Upgradation of\u00a0<strong>12 schools to high schools<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>5 schools to higher secondary schools<\/strong>\u00a0in FY 2024\u201325<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Implementation of flagship schemes like\u00a0<strong>Nipun Tripura, Mukul, Vidyasetu, Maharshi, PM Poshan, and Super-30<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The CM credited teachers\u2019 dedication for improved performance in Vidyajyoti schools this year and expressed hope that educators will continue to shape the character and intellect of future citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Speaking at the event, Special Secretary of the School Education Department&nbsp;<strong>Ravel Hemendra Kumar<\/strong>&nbsp;stressed that teachers must continuously update themselves with innovative, science-based, and technical knowledge to keep pace with modern education trends.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Earlier, dignitaries offered floral tributes to Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan\u2019s portrait, followed by a short documentary on his philosophy and the present state of Tripura\u2019s education system.&nbsp;<strong>Director of School Education, N.C.
