The event, hailed as a milestone in modern medical care, awareness, and compassion, reflects the progress of Tripura\u2019s healthcare system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The mother, an 18-year-old resident of&nbsp;<strong>Laljuri village under Kumarghat subdivision<\/strong>, was diagnosed as HIV-positive during routine antenatal checkups. The news deeply worried her family, particularly regarding the child\u2019s future. However, under the leadership of&nbsp;<strong>Medical Superintendent Dr. Rohan Pal<\/strong>, a dedicated team of doctors, nurses, and health workers extended full support to the young mother.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At&nbsp;<strong>2:25 pm on August 16<\/strong>, under the supervision of gynecologist&nbsp;<strong>Dr. Sumit Das<\/strong>, assisted by nursing officers&nbsp;<strong>Amrita Sinha<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Rahima Begum<\/strong>, the mother safely delivered a healthy male child weighing&nbsp;<strong>2.9 kg<\/strong>. Following international medical guidelines, utmost precautions were taken during delivery to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Post-delivery, the newborn was kept under close observation. Initial tests confirmed that the baby showed&nbsp;<strong>no signs of HIV infection<\/strong>. Both mother and child are currently in good health under medical supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This case demonstrates that with&nbsp;<strong>awareness, timely medical intervention, and compassionate care<\/strong>, HIV infection need not be a barrier to a healthy and safe life.
