TIPRA Motha Delegation Meets BJP National President J.P. Nadda in Delhi, Presses for SIR and TIPRASA Accord Implementation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

New Delhi, July 24, 2025:<\/strong> A high-level delegation from the TIPRA Motha Party, led by Bubagra Pradyot Bikram Manikya Debbarma, today met with Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Shri J.P. Nadda in New Delhi. The meeting focused on two key issues affecting the Indigenous people of Tripura \u2014 the urgent need for a Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in the state, and the speedy implementation of the TIPRASA Accord, which was assured by the Centre ahead of the Lok Sabha elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accompanying Bubagra Pradyot were several senior TIPRA Motha leaders and elected representatives, including Tripura East MP Smt. Kriti Devi Debbarman, State Ministers Animesh Debbarma and Brishaketu Debbarma, TTAADC CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia, along with MLAs, MDCs, and other party officials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation conveyed serious concerns about the delay in implementing the assurances given by the Government of India to the Indigenous TIPRASA community. They emphasized that the delay could erode public trust and create unrest among the Indigenous population, who have long demanded constitutional safeguards for their land, identity, and rights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The delegation also raised alarms over recent developments in Bangladesh, highlighting concerns regarding national security and the increasing atrocities against minorities in the neighbouring country. The TIPRA Motha leaders urged the Centre to take a proactive role in safeguarding the interests of the Indigenous people in border states like Tripura.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
