Tripura, 20 July 2025: <\/strong>Tripura has been left reeling after two deeply disturbing cases of sexual violence against minors surfaced within a week, sparking outrage and demands for justice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Amarpur\u2019s Birganj police station area<\/a><\/strong>, a 12-year-old girl was allegedly raped by her stepfather while her mother was away. According to family members, the accused took the girl to a nearby jungle and assaulted her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The crime came to light when the traumatized victim confided in her grandmother, saying,\u00a0\u201cHe is raping me.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0The family immediately filed an FIR at Birganj Police Station today. Locals revealed that the stepfather had been torturing the girl for a long time, but the abuse escalated to sexual violence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The incident has left the community in shock, with many questioning how such brutality could occur within a family. Police have detained the accused, and investigations are underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a similarly horrifying incident in Jirania\u2019s Hathai Kotor area, a 10-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered by her uncle and brother. The crime occurred on 13 July<\/strong>, but the victim\u2019s bloodied body was only discovered later in a village jungle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The double betrayal by her own relatives has sent waves of anger across the state, with activists and locals demanding swift punishment for the perpetrators. Police have registered a case and arrested the accused.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
