The intelligence-based operations were carried out from the midnight of July 3 to the morning of July 4 across interior and suspected locations in Tengnoupal, Kangpokpi, Chandel, and Churachandpur districts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">The operations were launched following credible intelligence inputs regarding the presence of illegal arms and warlike stores concealed in remote areas. The joint effort led to the seizure of a total of 203 weapons, alongside a significant quantity of ammunition and explosive materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong>Recovered Arms (Selected List):<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">INSAS Rifles \u2013 21 AK Series Rifles \u2013 11 Self-Loading Rifles (SLRs) \u2013 26 Sniper Rifles \u2013 2 Carbines \u2013 3 .303 Rifles \u2013 17 51 mm Mortars \u2013 2 M79 Grenade Launchers \u2013 3 Pompis \u2013 38 Pistols (including country-made) \u2013 9 Single-shot and bolt-action rifles \u2013 Multiple units<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong>Recovered Ammunition and Explosives:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\">5.56 mm rounds \u2013 29 7.62 mm rounds \u2013 80 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) \u2013 30 Hand Grenades \u2013 10 Lathode and Pompi Shells \u2013 11<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">This recovery marks one of the most significant seizures in recent months and reflects the ongoing efforts of law enforcement and security agencies to dismantle illegal arms networks and restore normalcy in violence-affected areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p3\"><strong>Official Statement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">Manipur Police officials stated that senior officers are in continuous coordination with all security stakeholders to ensure the momentum of such operations is maintained.
