TTAADC CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia Visits Tirthamukh to Launch \u20b915 Crore Pilgrimage Site Development<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Tripura | July 1, 2025:<\/strong> In a significant step toward promoting religious tourism and cultural heritage, Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) Chief Executive Member (CEM) Purna Chandra Jamatia today visited Tirthamukh, one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites of Tripura, to formally initiate a comprehensive development project under the New Gomati Village Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Speaking during the site visit, CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia highlighted that the initiative to develop Tirthamukh gained momentum after the formation of the Tipra Motha-led government in the ADC<\/a><\/strong>. He acknowledged the pivotal role played by Royal Scion and Chairman of Tipra Motha,\u00a0Maharaja Pradyot Kishore Debbarma (Bubagra)<\/strong>, in envisioning and driving the project forward.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAfter Tipra Motha came to power, our Bubagra took the initiative to develop this sacred pilgrimage site. This initiative is possible only because of his unwavering vision and leadership,\u201d said CEM Purna Chandra Jamatia.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The development project includes the construction of a Dak Bungalow<\/strong>, selling sheds<\/strong>, a footway bridge<\/strong>, streamside beautification<\/strong>, public toilets<\/strong>, VIP parking<\/strong>, solar lighting<\/strong>, and open selling stalls<\/strong>. The infrastructure aims to enhance the overall experience for pilgrims and visitors, while also uplifting the local economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The estimated cost of the project is \u20b915.00 crore, and the construction work is expected to commence shortly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The CEM was accompanied by Executive Member Rajesh Tripura<\/strong>, Additional CEO Naresh Jamatia<\/strong>, the Chief Engineer<\/strong>, Executive Engineer of Gomati<\/strong>, DCM of Korbook<\/strong>, and other concerned officials who were present to oversee and assess the upcoming development plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis project is not just about infrastructure; it\u2019s about preserving our cultural identity, promoting our spiritual heritage, and ensuring economic opportunities for our Indigenous people \u2013 the Tiprasa,\u201d added CEM Jamatia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Tirthamukh pilgrimage site, nestled amid scenic natural beauty, holds immense religious significance for the Indigenous communities of Tripura. With the upcoming infrastructure enhancements, the site is poised to become a model for religious tourism in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
