{"id":11590,"date":"2025-06-10T18:37:40","date_gmt":"2025-06-10T18:37:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/?p=11590"},"modified":"2025-06-10T18:38:13","modified_gmt":"2025-06-10T18:38:13","slug":"tripura-tobacco-use-banned-in-three-areas-of-sepahijala-district","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/aguli.in\/index.php\/2025\/06\/10\/tripura-tobacco-use-banned-in-three-areas-of-sepahijala-district\/","title":{"rendered":"Tripura: Tobacco Use Banned in Three Areas of Sepahijala District"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"p1\"><strong>Tripura, 10 June 2025: <\/strong>In an effort to promote public health and maintain clean, tobacco-free tourism spots, the District Magistrate of Sepahijala, Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, has declared three areas of the district as tobacco-free zones under the provisions of COTPA, 2003 (Cigarettes and Other Tobacco Products Act).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">Effective from May 30, Neermahal, Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary, and Kasba Kalibari have been designated as tobacco-free zones. The sale and consumption of cigarettes, drugs, or any form of tobacco products are strictly prohibited in these areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"p1\">Violators found consuming or selling tobacco products within these zones will face legal action as per the law.
