Agartala, June 5, 2025:<\/strong> The Twipra Students\u2019 Federation (TSF) has issued a strong appeal to the Government of Tripura to act immediately and decisively on the Ministry of Home Affairs\u2019 (MHA) recent directive concerning the identification and deportation of illegal immigrants from Bangladesh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a press release issued by TSF leaders General Secretary Hamalu Jamatia and President Samrat Debbarma, the organization expressed deep concern over the MHA notification dated May 19, 2025, which mandates all state governments to identify and deport undocumented Bangladeshi nationals within 30 days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The student body cited reports indicating a persistent influx and settlement of illegal immigrants across multiple districts of Tripura, including Gomati, Dhalai, Sepahijala, South Tripura, West Tripura, and North Tripura. According to TSF, local authorities have apprehended some individuals, but the issue remains unresolved and continues to grow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThis unauthorized settlement poses a grave threat to the demographic balance, land rights, cultural identity, and internal security of Tripura\u2019s indigenous communities,\u201d the statement read.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Calling for the \u201cstrict and immediate\u201d implementation of the MHA directive, TSF emphasized that the state administration must expedite the process of identification, verification, and deportation of illegal immigrants without political or bureaucratic delay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response to the issue, TSF announced the launch of a \u201cClean Illegal Immigrants Drive-Out Mission\u201d to be carried out in the affected areas. The organization stated that the mission would be conducted through peaceful and democratic means, with active involvement of local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TSF also urged students, youth, civil society, and concerned citizens to join the movement, stressing that the issue transcends politics and touches upon the very survival and future of Tripura\u2019s indigenous people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
