News, 5 June 2025: <\/strong>Tripura has emerged as a front-runner state among Indian states, said Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha during a high-level meeting held yesterday at the Secretariat. He highlighted that the state holds a prominent position among the northeastern states in terms of Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) and per capita income. Tripura is steadily moving towards holistic development by tapping into its potential sectors, he added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chief Minister made these remarks during a meeting with a three-member delegation from Patanjali Yogpeeth (Trust), led by its General Secretary, Acharya Balkrishna. Dr. Saha emphasized that Tripura is rich in natural resources and archaeological heritage, offering vast scope for growth. He also mentioned the state\u2019s key tourist attractions such as the Tripura Sundari Temple in Udaipur, Narikelkunja in Dumbur, Unakoti, and Chabimura, which continue to attract both domestic and international tourists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He further stated that the state has seen major improvements in connectivity and law and order. The Chief Minister urged the Patanjali Yogpeeth delegation to come forward and contribute to the development of the state\u2019s potential sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the discussion, Acharya Balkrishna expressed keen interest in contributing to the overall development of Tripura. He mentioned Patanjali Yogpeeth\u2019s willingness to work in areas like agriculture, religious tourism, information technology, and skill development. He also showed interest in establishing a Yoga and Wellness Centre as well as a Biodiversity Park in the state. Additionally, he proposed organizing a large-scale religious conference in Tripura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Senior officials present at the meeting included RK Samal (Principal Secretary, Forest Department), Dr. PK Chakraborty (Secretary to the Chief Minister), Kiran Gitte (Secretary, Health and Family Welfare), Abhishek Singh (Secretary, Urban Development), Apurba Roy (Secretary, Finance), Dr. K.
